Andrea Gordon
Director
Associate Artist and 3GT Legacy Member Andrea Gordon has been directing and producing theater on the West coast since 1983. She was resident director at Theater Artists of Marin, the One Act Theatre Company, Artistic Director for Tour de Force Theatre Company, and the last incarnation of the Eureka Theatre (along with Benny Sato Ambush and Lane Nishikawa). Her 78 productions have garnered 19 BATTC awards and several Dean Goodman Dramalogue awards for Direction and Production. She has directed and taught at Berkeley Rep’s apprentice program,ACT’s conservatory reading program, Marin Theatre Company, The Magic Theatre, the Eureka Theatre, Berkeley Stage, Asian American Theatre Company, San Francisco Shakespeare Festival, the Fringe Festival and many other places up and down the California Coast, NYC and Chicago. She attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, The High School for Performing Arts NYC, took her BA in Dramatic Writing at The College of Creative Studies U.C.S.B, and her MA in Theater Direction from SFSU. She has taught acting, dramaturgy, dramatic literature and voice and diction at U.C.S.B., St. Mary’s College, the London School of Dramatic Arts, Suisun Valley College, City College of San Francisco and San Francisco’s New College, among others. And, because the cardinal rule of theater is to never give up your day job, she is a Top-Producing Realtor at COMPASS in Berkeley and Oakland. Andrea directed 3GT’s first full production (Lee Brady’s Janice & Shelley & Jo at the Fringe in 2011), as well as numerous Salon Series readings over the years. In 2018, she directed Brady’s SOUTHERN LIGHTS at Z Below for Three Girls Theatre.
