Non-AEA Casting Call: "The Pennsylvanian" -3Girls Theatre Company

Director: Pamela Hollings
Synopsis: The play is set in a small town in Pennsylvania in a dark, drafty living room of a house moving off its foundation. Upstairs, is Pixie and Macon’s father. His presence is always felt, both looming and loving, like God, and is manifested mainly by the house.
The play takes place in one evening, between 11 p.m. and dawn with flashbacks / memories / dreams of earlier young adult and childhood years.
DATES: 2022, Sept 21 & 22, 6-10pm, Sept 24 & 25, 10-5pm
Location: In Person at the 3GT Office, 1034 Kearny Street, San Francisco
All Actors Must Be Fully Vaccinated.
Actor Payment: $400.00
1 Role: (Character description)
MACON: White male. Early 30s. Ex-Musician. Twin brother of Pixie (the other character in the play). Born again Christian who lives with his parents. Anger issues. Actor must be able to sing, read music and play guitar.
This is a great opportunity to join the team developing these characters and play from draft to final script. Your ideas and input will be welcomed by the team of writer, dramaturg and director.

Non-AEA Casting Call - "The Music of the Mothers" - 3Girls Theatre Company/TheatreFirst World Premiere Production

Play Synopsis: The Music of Mothers' focuses on the relationship between best friends Ethyl (white) and May (black) as they struggle to raise their sons, side by side in a world that is constantly changing politically and culturally. Through anger, laughter, and pain the two women hold on to each other as their friendship bends close to breaking.

Workshop Location: 3GT office in North Beach, San Francisco (in-person)
Rehearsal & Performance Location: Live Oak Theater, 1301 Shattuck Ave., Berkeley
Rehearsal dates: 9/19 - 9/23, 6PM-10PM, Sunday, 9/25 11AM-3PM
9/26 - 9/30 6PM-10PM
Tech Week: 10/1 – 10/6
Opening: 10/7, performs Fridays/Saturdays @ 8PM, Sunday @ 2PM
Closing: 10/23 (possible extension 10/28 – 10/30)
Actor full rate: $2,100.00 (includes workshop, rehearsals, and performances)
RJ: Black male - must be able to play between 14-17 years of age. He is sporty and is being raised by his mom. His father was killed in the Iraq war. He is sensitive but also to the point. He can't wait to get out of Texas.
Troy: White male (age range: 18-24, must be able to play a teenager). Gay. Loves baseball. Holds his feelings inside. always looking for approval from his mom (Ethyl), but has a better relationship with RJ's mom, who he calls Auntie. His best friend is RJ.
Actors must provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination.
