Marie Cartier is a multidisciplinary theater artist born and raised in San Francisco. A trained actor, her work in theater also spans everything from light and sound operation to props design, scenic painting, education, and writing. Marie’s short play The View from Here was selected for the 2018 New Works Festival theme night, “Bursting the Bubble.” She is a collective member of the San Francisco Mime Troupe, and she was on the writing team for their TBA-nominated 2019 production Treasure Island. She is also a founding member of woman-run Bow & Arrow Circus Theater Collective, where she has written three years of original scripts for their hit show Saturnalia: A Raunchy Circus Christmas. You can catch her onstage in Bow & Arrow’s upcoming production Dark Side of the Circus at Dance Mission this April. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Social Work at CSU East Bay.
