Spiraleena Mason
Designer
Susannah (“Spiraleena”) Mason has been theatrically engaged ever since she scored the role of the little mermaid in a girl scout play at age 9. Spiraleena has done stage makeup design for The Marsh Youth Theater, (SIDDHARTHA, NARNIA, THE MAGIC FLUTE), the Chitresh Das Dance Company (SITA HARAN) and The Reclaiming Spiral Dance (dancers and chorus, make-up). In May 2011, she did make-up for hundreds of dancers in the Indian classic epic tale of THE RAMAYANA for Chhandam School of Kathak Dance. Recent costume design includes FATHER OF THE BRIDE and THE SUNSHINE BOYS for Pacifica Spindrift Players.
Spiraleena is 3GT’s true renaissance artist and a mainstay for the company since its inception in 2011. In March 2012, Spiraleena stage managed THE RIGHT THING and WHAT ABOUT BEN? during 3GT’s MARCH 2012 CELEBRATION OF WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH festival at Thick House, as well as serving as Costume Designer for both shows. She served as Costume Designer for our 2012 HOLIDAY SHOWCASE and in 2013, she was the Festival Costume Designer for our second CWHM. She was props designer/ASM for MOMENTS OF TRUTH in 2015, served as Festival Production Manager for the 2014, 2015 and 2016 NEW WORKS FESTIVALS, Production Manager/Props Mistress for LOW HANGING FRUIT. From 2014-2016, Spiraleena also served as Company Manager, refining that role into Program Director for the Salon Series (through 2019) and serving as Executive Producer of LezWrites! as well for several years. In 2018 she was costume designer for SOUTHERN LIGHTS.
