Denmo Ibrahim is an award-winning Arab-American playwright, actor, and poet of Egyptian descent based in Northern California. Secrets, Dreams & Other Misplaced Objects, in partnership with First Person Travel is her first commission project with 3 Girls Theatre.

Denmo’s work has been generously supported by the National Endowment for the Arts, Zellerbach Family Foundation, Wallace Alexander Gerbode Foundation, and Theatre Bay Area. Her plays Rabbit Causes Dog and BABA won the award for Best Original Script by San Francisco Fringe and San Francisco Bay Area Critics Circle Award, respectively. Her work has been produced by New York Theatre Workshop, Under St. Marks, Playwrights’ Center, Noor Theatre, Golden Thread, EXIT, Alter Theatre, Shotgun Players, and Zawaya.

Denmo holds an MFA in Lecoq-based Actor Created Physical Theater from Naropa University and a BFA in Acting from Boston University. She currently serves on the literary committee of MTC and has also served in the same capacity for Playwrights Foundation. Denmo is a founding artistic director of Mugwumpin and a resident artist of Golden Thread.
